Abstract: This article summarizes the major findings of the Long Term Evaluation of the Health Transfer Initiative, the initiative of the Medical Services Branch of Health Canada to transfer control of health services and budgets to First Nations Communities. The study was conducted by the Institute for Human Resource Development for Medical Services Branch.
