Abstract: This report sets out the basis for developing a water management plan for SELCO' s South Bay mine in northwestern Ontario. This first section provides a description of the site, reviews the history of the mine and describes the scope and objectives of the study. The second and third chapters review the hydrology and water quality of the drainage systems and waterbodies on the site. On the basis of these characteristics, chapter four identifies the key areas requiring attention and sets out a rationale and proposed strategy for dealing with the various areas. The last chapter summarizes the recommendations arising from the study and provides an implementation sequence for the plan
