Abstract: The Public Documents collection at the J.N. Desmarais Library is the largest collection of primary source material in Northern Ontario. It includes a wide variety of material from several levels of government and from intergovernmental organizations. This, they did every ten years, covering the years from 1666 to 1901. The Public Archives of Canada has microfilmed these documents and made them available for public use.
